Lugbill Bros., Inc. was formed in 1918 as a livestock trading company. In 1962, the company sought to diversify and purchased a retail lumber business from Riegsecker Bros., directly across the street from the Lugbill Auction. This location made it a convenient source of lumber and farm supplies for people attending the auction. Lugbill Bros. gradually expanded its merchandise and services and became a distributor of Varco-Pruden metal buildings. In 1975, after outgrowing the current location, Lugbill Supply Center opened a new store. With a building almost three times as large as the original, the Supply Center became a *home center.* Today, in addition to lumber and farm supplies, its products include hardware, paint, plumbing supplies, cabinets, doors, windows, siding, paneling, ceiling tile, and all kinds of building materials. Services offered include free estimating and consultation, custom kitchen and bath designs, computerized deck designs, computer aided color matching, and free deliveries.
